“When we got here, we lived in a trailer. We
could not touch the walls because they would fall off and the floor would shake,
like it was very unsteady.”

“Yes, we were renting and the walls would fall
so after three months renting we bought our own trailer at the National. It cost
us $2500 but we were very happy there. As the family grew we started suffocating.
What happened is that the trailer had only one bedroom and a living room. We used
the living room as a bedroom and living room. The kitchen was very small and we
were six in the family with the four children. We lived there for five years before
we bought our trailer in North Shore.”
